A Woman Meditating

New Age Babe

Posted on August 22, 2018November 22, 2018 by Amrita Paintal

I was an early adopter of alternative medicine and modalities.
I didn’t require the proof of scientific studies to know that being in nature was calming and invigorating at the same time.
Or that a weekly scalp massage with ayurvedic oils reduced my hair fall.
Despite being a traditional allopathic doctor, my mother used Homeopathy as her first line of defense when it came to our family’s health.
I identify myself with the New Age wave that is becoming more and more mainstream.

I have been fortunate to have had the time to learn Vipasana, a traditional Buddhist meditation methodology.
Being in the Himalayas at a ten day silent retreat in Dharamsala has been a transformative journey that I highly recommend.
I’ve been listening to the very articulate Deepak Chopra for over three decades.
My friends have introduced me to Pranic Healing and Twin Hearts meditation.
Chakra cleansing has been an important component of my spiritual practice.
I have learned various energy healing techniques like Reiki, Shivyog, Pranic Healing and Twin Hearts meditation.
Aromatherapy, forest bathing, earthing ( walking barefoot on grass) and crystal healing have been in my life for two decades and a thousand years.

More recently, the Isha Foundation has given me the discipline to do my daily yogic practice by myself.
The hankering for various yoga classes and teachers has been replaced with self reliance and discipline.

A compulsive mind manifests as physical ailments and auto immune disorders.
I would like to share the knowledge that I have acquired on healing modalities.
They have helped me cope with stress and emotional distress and made me a much happier earthling.

Another issue is that video games are generally serious as the name indicated with the main focus on mastering rather than entertainment. Although, it comes with an entertainment feature to keep your sons or daughters engaged, each game is frequently designed to focus on a specific set of skills or program, such as mathmatical or technology. Thanks for your post. Meg Tibold Devi
